Laurits Nansen has directed and filmed a number of acclaimed documentaries for Danish national television, 

With a university degree in History and Journalism he began as an investigative journalist writing for leading Danish newspapers. 

He has also worked as investigative tv reporter and correspondent for the national news at Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), until he started making documentary films. 

In 2024 he established Eight Pictures with director Nikolaj Viborg.

Awards

Awarded by the association of investigative journalist (FUJ) and by the EU commission. Also nominated for the Cavling prize, a prestigious Danish journalist award as well as The Danish TV Awards and The Danish Film Award, Bodilprisen.
